TEACHING
ART CLUBS, WORKSHOPS & 1:1 TUTORING
I teach art and design through workshops, and 1-2-1 tutoring sessions, both online and in-person from my home and at local schools and community centres.
Who do I teach?
I teach primary and secondary aged children and teenagers. Some attend school whilst some of my students are homeschooled.
How does it work?
I offer private tutoring and group workshops from my home in Hassocks, where I can accommodate up to 5 children.
For larger groups of up to 10 children, I use a local venue.
Alternatively, I’m happy to travel to your preferred venue, although additional fees may apply for distances greater than 10 miles from my home in Hassocks.
How much do I charge
£10 per child per hour for a workshop where groups are between 4 and 10 children
£30 per hour for 1-2-1 tutoring sessions. These cover GCSE and A Level coursework and exam preparation and general portfolio work.
How long are the workshops and what is included in the cost
A workshop is either 2 or 3 hours long depending on what we create.
All materials are included in the workshop costs plus either the room hire or my petrol and travel costs. Plus the children get to take away their work at the end.
What is my experience?
I am a fully qualified art and design teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience across secondary schools and 6th form colleges. I have taught a wide range of subjects including art, design, graphic design, photography, and textiles at the KS2, KS3, GCSE, BTEC, and A-Level stages.
In my lessons and clubs, I guide students through drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, 3D work, and printmaking. You can see examples of my students' artwork on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/sabinasartclub.
I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and full insurance. Please feel free to reach out if you have any specific learning goals or would like me to run a group session. I'd be happy to discuss how I can support your artistic development.
